This must be the first Chinese brand in fashion that people are willing to pay premium for...I'm buying into it: Originating in Shanghai, the Feiyue sneaker first appeared in the 1920's. This small shoe made of light material, that has guided the paths of all social classes in China, has crossed continents, arriving in Europe in 2006, where it was picked up by a team of French sneaker enthusiasts.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the legendary SUMO by Helmut Newton, Taschen is releasing a smaller version of the original for the regular book market...it is still big and heavy enough to come with its own stand! If you're in Berlin, you can see all the photos on display at the Helmut Newton Foundation (Helmut Newton Stiftung, Jebenstr. 2, 10623 Berlin), it is well worth the visit!
Most of the photos on this blog I have sourced from the WWW. If you are the owner any of those photos and do not wish for them to appear on this blog, let me know via email and i'll take them down.
